Carl Junction duplex destroyed by fire

Fire destroyed a large duplex near Fir Road in Carl Junction.  

According to Carl Junction Fire Chief Joe Perkins, the call came in just after 1:30 Friday afternoon at 1008 and 1010 Southgate Circle in the southern part of the Briarbrook neighborhood.  

Mutual aid was provided by Joplin and Webb City firefighters.   

The Missouri State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
