"Operation Playground" active shooter exercise at Freeman West

The Freeman Hospital Emergency Room was busy during an active shooter exercise called “Operation Playground” Tuesday morning.  

The simulation of gunshot victims from a youth basketball tournament helped train both Freeman staff and area medical students on what to do in a real situation.   

Victims were played by volunteer actors from area nursing schools.
