Charges filed against former Carthage CVB Executive Director

Charges have been filed by the Jasper County Prosecutor against 42-year-old Callie Myers, the former executive director of the Carthage Convention and Visitors Bureau.
She’s accused of making over at least $4,700 in non-authorized purchases and over $3,000 more in harder to trace transactions.
The charge, a Class “A” felony, comes after a lengthy investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
She’s accused of using the card to pay for beauty products, restaurant tabs and cellphone charges.
Myers was suspended as CVB Director in August 2021.
