Fatality accident in Newton County kills motorist from Granby

A man from Granby was killed in a crash at US 60 at Route HH about mile east of Neosho shortly after 7 o'clock this morning.

A report from the MO State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when a 2003 Dodge 1500 pickup truck driven by 77-year-old Everett J. Harrison of Granby pulled into the path of a 2018 Peterbuilt truck driven by 33-year-old Tyler C. Dabbs of Columbus, Kansas.

Harrison was pronounce dead at the scene by Newton County Coroner Jerry Deems.

A passenger in the Harrison vehicle, 44-year-old Lisa M. Hanna of Granby was seriously injured. She was taken by ambulance to Freeman West hospital in Joplin.
