Boy from Stockton run over by parade float, seriously injured

A 12-year-old boy was seriously injured in Stockton Saturday afternoon when he fell from a vehicle that was pulling a parade float.

The towed unit then ran over him.

The float was being towed by a vehicle driven by 47-year-old Robert E. Kiley of Fair Play, Missouri.

The accident happened just after 3:30 p.m. on North Street in Stockton.

The boy, from Stockton, was transferred by aircraft to Mercy Hospital in Springfield in serious condition.
