EPA Awards Pollution Prevention Grants to MSU and Missouri S&T

Two universities in Missouri are receiving pollution prevention grants through the new federal infrastructure law.

The Environmental Protection Agency  (EPA) is awarding Missouri State University in Springfield 300 thousand dollars and Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla 350 thousand dollars.

The funding will allow the schools to provide on-site technical assistance and training to Missouri companies in the food and beverage, automotive, aerospace, and metal manufacturing and fabrication industries.

M-S-U will also work with the Missouri Association of Manufacturers to develop a statewide sustainability network to promote best practices for preventing and reducing pollution.
