MoDOT: Repair projects in five SW Missouri Counties begin Sept. 19

Southwest District – A pavement repair project on various routes in Greene, Jasper, Lawrence, McDonald and Newton County to begin the week of September 19, the Missouri Department of Transportation said. Contractor crews will repair the concrete pavement on various routes. Crews will work during both day and nighttime hours. Drivers can expect flaggers on the road directing them through the work zones, as well as road, lane and ramp closures. Traffic Alerts and message boards will alert traffic of upcoming work zones and closures. Drivers are urged to slow down and pay attention as they approach the pavement project. Work will be done in the following locations: PRESERVED_BLOCK_0
  • Jasper County PRESERVED_BLOCK_1
  • Lawrence County PRESERVED_BLOCK_2
  • McDonald County PRESERVED_BLOCK_3
  • Newton County PRESERVED_BLOCK_4
  • Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule. Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. – Columbia is doing the work for a low bid amount of $1.4million. The project is to be completed by December 1, 2022.
