Is turnabout fair play?

65-year-old Kirk William Owen of Grove is being held without bail in the Beaver County, Oklahoma jail on an application to revoke a suspended sentence.

Police say they took him into custody in Miami following a protective court hearing where he allegedly sought to have a relationship with a child.

Now, Owen has filed a civil lawsuit against Crawford County Sheriff Danny Smith and Crawford County Court Clerk Lisa Lusker seeking $1 million in damages.

He claims his "good reputation" was destroyed after a social media site talked about his actions. A posting by Smith was shared over 4,000 times.

Owen pleaded guilty in 2002 to two charges of lewd molestation and received a 20-year suspended sentence and was fined $2,500.

He reportedly completed probation in 2006.
