Child rape allegations land Columbus man in jail

A man from Columbus, Kansas, has been arrested on allegations of raping a child. Read the full press release below:

Cherokee County Detectives recently obtained an arrest warrant for 36-year-old David Wayne Plummer.

The warrant was sought following an investigation into recent allegations Plummer committed the crime against a minor child in the summer of 2020.

Plummer was arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives on Thursday and is being held in the Cherokee County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.
