Moped accident Friday evening injures man from Neosho

The Missouri Highway Patrol says a man from Neosho was injured around 6:50 Friday night in an accident involving a moped.
The accident took place on Palm Road about a miles south of Neosho.
The Patrol says the accident occurred when 64-year-old Gary E. Morang, the rider of the westbound 2021 Tao Tao Pony moped, lost control and overturned on a highway.
The Patrol report says he was not wearing a safety device.
Morang was transported to a Joplin Hospital in serious condition.
