A pro-abortion rights rally taking place in Joplin this afternoon along 15th Street. About 50 protesters held signs and chanted as they marched to Range Line Road.

The protesters strongly disagreed with last week's decision by a majority of the Supreme Court to undo the Roe v. Wade decision.

"I think its very important we need to choose who our next leaders are and who is in our offices coming up," one protester said.

"We need to vote for who we want to be in our government offices Congress and our Senate to get these rights back," another protester said.

"As we know the Supreme Court is likely not going to codify Roe v. Wade and we

really, really need our states to start making these laws that abortion is healthcare."

Missouri's new abortion law bans abortion and has no exclusion for rape or incest. It does contain an exclusion to save the life of the expectant mother.
