Parson to Sign Bill Eliminating Taxes on 2026 World Cup Tickets

Governor Mike Parson plans to sign Senate bill 652 Thursday at Arrowhead Stadium.

The legislation exempts 2026 FIFA World Cup tickets from state and local sales taxes.

Missouri will be on soccer’s world stage in four years as Kansas City has been chosen as a site to host some of the matches.

The international games are expected to have a 650-million-dollar economic impact on the region.

The bill is sponsored by Democratic Senator John Rizzo of Independence.
