Missouri Senate Goes Home Early

Today is the last day of the 2022 legislative session -- at least for the Missouri House.

The Missouri Senate chose to adjourn for the year Thursday evening after finally passing the long-fought-over Congressional redistricting bill.

That means numerous bills passed by the House but still awaiting Senate approval are now dead.

They include the stalled bill that would have legalized sports wagering in Missouri.

Lawmakers in neighboring Kansas passed sports wagering there and Governor Laura Kelly signed the bill into law Thursday.
