Joplin Police searching for bank robbery suspect

Joplin Police are searching for an alleged bank robber.

The incident happened shortly after 10 am at the Great Southern Bank at 1232 S. Rangeline Road.

Joplin Police Captain William Davis says officers arrived on the scene but the suspect had already fled. “They found that he had entered the bank and threatened the use of a weapon and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.”

Davis says there were no injuries during the incident.

Joplin Police say any information or leads could be helpful in finding the suspect.

This bank has a history of being robbed, including as recently as July 2021.
