JPL to celebrate all things Star Wars May 4th-6th

The film Star Wars debuted in 1977 and, since then, has become a pop culture phenomenon.

The franchise has expanded into various film and other media including a TV series, video games, novels, comic books, theme park attractions and more. In 2020, its total value was estimated at $70 billion and it is currently the fifth-highest-grossing media franchise of all time.

On May 4th, 5th and 6th, the Joplin  Public Library will celebrate all things Star Wars.

Participants can dress up, explore some Star Wars resources (books, movies, etc), take a photo at the photo op station, build their own droids, and partake in many other fun, drop-in activities.

Adults, teens and children are all welcome.

The Joplin Library is located at 1901 E. 20th in Joplin.
