Joplin School Board to meet Tuesday night

The Joplin Board of Education will meet Tuesday night.

The Board will discuss the purchase of several new cameras and servers for the digital watchdog system at Joplin High School.

The cost of the new equipment is $94,100.

School officials say the current system is outdated.

Following that meeting, the Board of Education will adjourn to a closed session involving legal actions, the purchase or sale of real estate or the hiring, firing, disciplining or promoting of employees.

The open meeting gets underway at 5 p.m Tuesday night at the Administration office at 825 S. Jackson.
