Man from Neosho injured in two-car-accident Friday

An auto accident in Newton County Friday afternoon has resulted in injuries a man from Neosho.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred at Burr Cross Road, immediately south of Neosho just before 5 pm. on Friday.

The Patrol says the crash took place when a vehicle driven by 81-year-old Sanford R. Vanslyke of Neosho was attempting to make turn when a pickup truck driven by 66-year old Yvonne M. McClintock of Neosho crossed the center line and struck his vehicle.

Vanslyke was transported to Freeman Neosho Hospital with moderate injuries.

McClintock was not injured.
