Joplin High student to attend U.S. Naval Academy
Accepted by three service academies

Joplin, MO – Officials from the Joplin R-VIII School System say that Wyatt Satterlee, a senior at Joplin High School, will attend the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
Justin L. Crawford, Director of Educational Support and Human Resources, says Satterlee also was accepted by the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado and the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York.
Satterlee was nominated to the military academies by Senator Roy Blunt, Senator Josh Hawley, and Representative Billy Long.
On June 30th, which is Induction Day, Satterlee will begin his 47-month journey in Annapolis. He plans to major in mechanical engineering.
He has aspirations to go into Special Forces.
