Another Amber Alert for St. Louis County this week -- this time in Ferguson. And like the first one in Rosemont, the second one ended with the child being found safe.
Police say 33-year-old Joseph Gilliam, believed to be the father, assaulted the child’s mother inside a vehicle last night in Ferguson and drove off with one-year-old Jalanah Gilliam.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol canceled the alert after the baby was found safe and placed in protective custody.
Gilliam later turned himself in, and the baby’s mother was treated and released from a local hospital with minor injuries.
On Tuesday, an Amber Alert was issued when the non-custodial father took his two-year-old son following a domestic incident, but the toddler was later found safe.
