Two women injured in separate accidents Sunday night

Two women were injured in two separate one-car accidents Sunday night.

The Highway Patrol says on Sunday around 11 p.m., 25-year-old Jordan N. Hinds of Verona was driving a mile north of Aurora when her vehicle ran off the roadway ad struck a tree.

Hinds was transported to an Aurora hospital with serious injuries.

About 20 minutes after that, the Patrol says a car driven by 35-year-old Jacqueline D. Parker of Joplin ran off the I-44 South Outer Road in Joplin and struck a ditch.

Parker was transported to a Joplin hospital with moderate injuries.

The Patrol says neither woman was wearing a safety device.
