Council candidate to discuss election integrity concerns, possible recount

Brian Evans, who was a candidate for Joplin City Council in the most recent election, will hold a press conference on Monday, April 11 regarding his desire for a possible recount in the Joplin City Council race.

After the unofficial results were announced on Tuesday evening, Evans was trailing his closest opponent by only 13 votes.

Evans will speak about the closeness of this election, election integrity concerns raised by several Joplin voters, and will announce his decision regarding a recount.

A press conference will be held Monday afternoon to discuss the issue.
