Rocky Comfort man hit, killed while riding bicycle, driver arrested
Suspect arrested after leaving the scene

A man from Rocky Comfort was killed after he was hit by a car while riding a bicycle Monday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident happened just before 9:30 PM on State Hwy 76 about a mile east of Rocky Comfort, in Barry County.
The MSHP reports that 50-year-old Charles T. Peterson, was a pedestrian, riding a bike in the roadway when he was hit by a car driven by 23-year-old Marshall D. Martin, of Rocky Comfort.
Peterson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Martin was arrested a few hours after the accident on a charge of Felony Leaving the Scene of a Traffic Crash.
