Pittsburg officers were requested to make contact with the registered owner of the abandoned vehicle who resides on south Free King Highway in Pittsburg. The owner of the vehicle was contacted and found their vehicle had been stolen from their garage which is attached to their residence.

Investigators had contacted Corbitt and asked to meet with him about an unrelated matter, and took Corbitt into custody at that time.

Corbitt was arrested for the aforementioned case of aggravated burglary and motor vehicle theft. Corbitt was also identified as the offender in several other cases, and was subsequently arrested for two counts of felony burglary to a motor vehicle, seven counts of felony theft, four counts of misdemeanor theft, six counts of misdemeanor criminal use of a financial card and one count of misdemeanor possession of stolen property.
