Joplin trash and recycling service rates increasing

Joplin residents will be paying more for trash and curbside recycling.
Starting April first, residents will be paying two percent more for trash service, raising the price by twenty-four cents a month.
The curbside recycling rate will go up by nine cents.
The rate increases are included in the contract between the city and Republic Services.
