(AP) — A 23-year-old southwest Missouri man has been charged with murder after a shooting death in Seymour.

Gage Bittner, of Hartville, was charged Thursday with second-degree murder.

The Webster County Sheriff's office says a man was shot several times Wednesday at a home near Seymour.

Officials have not released the man's name or disclosed a possible motive for the shooting.

Teresa Ireland, of Seymour, has been charged with hindering the prosecution of a felony.

Investigators say she threw the murder weapon out the window of the car as the two suspects drove away.

They are being held in the Webster County jail.
