Long Bill Would Rename Republic Post Office in Honor of Fallen Soldier

Congressman Billy Long is sponsoring legislation that would rename a post office in southwest Missouri after a soldier who died in Afghanistan.
Special Agent Sergeant Joseph Peters of Republic was killed by an improvised explosive device in October 2013.
U-S Representative Long says renaming the Republic Post Office in honor of Peters will serve as a reminder of his service in defense of this great nation.
Special Agent Sergeant Peters went into an area of Afghanistan known to have I-E-Ds to assist with casualty triage.
Long says his actions allowed for seven wounded members to be safely evacuated.
