Police chase ends with the arrest of men from Neosho, Carterville

A chase of a vehicle reported to be stolen that began around 4:30 Friday afternoon has resulted in two people being taken into custody.

It all began on Range Line north of Zora. The driver refused to stop.

It ended when the subject's car became disabled on some railroad tracks between 4th and 5th streets in north Joplin. They then tried to flee on foot.

The police then took the 26-year-old male driver from Neosho and his 34-year-old male passenger from Carterville into custody.

They were taken to the Joplin Police Department jail pending the formal filing of charges.
