Parsons Police Department officers arrest Seth Michael Emert on multiple warrants after a short foot chase.

Officers were called to the area of Bordertown in the 2900 block of Main on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, for a sighting of Emert.

Emert is well known to the officers of the Parsons Police Department and was already running from Labette County Deputy Charlie Brown. Sergeant Waylon Kepley gave chase and with the help of Deputy Brown, Emert was apprehended and taken to Labette County Jail.

Emert had active warrants in Wilson, Neosho, Labette, and Crawford Counties.

Parsons Police Chief Robert Spinks said, “this case is brought to you by the good citizens of Parsons who called Emert in. This shows, once again, that See It, Hear It, Report It works very well. I am especially proud of the hard work by all officers and deputy’s that were involved.

Our partnership with the Labette County Sheriff’s Office has been and will continue to be a successful one. This multi felon is now in the capable hands of the judges and prosecutors’ office.”

Lt. Detective Sherri McGuire said, “I am extremely pleased that this did not turn into a long chase with law enforcement as Emert is well known to flee in vehicles and on motorcycles and even steal vehicles to flee from apprehension. Well done to all the officers involved.”
