Police drone locates suspects after high-speed pursuit

Five armed suspects are all now in custody after a police chase that reached speeds of 140 mph Monday night.

Authorities say it all started shortly after 9:15 PM when a NEO Campus police officer attempted to pull a vehicle over. That vehicle fled onto westbound I-44 before being stopped by spike strips at mile marker 292, near Vinita.

Although all five fled the car, two were quickly taken into custody.

The Miami Unmanned Aircraft Systems support team was called in to fly the area to search for the remaining three.

Over the next several hours, they the suspects hiding in a tree grove in a field.

Their names have not been released at this time.
