Joplin City Council to meet Monday night

The Joplin City Council meets Monday night.

Members will consider the acceptance of a state grant to help finance the Metro Area Public Transit System.

Another proposal would change the hours for the sale of alcoholic beverages on Sundays from 9 a.m. to midnight to 6 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. - something that is now legal under Missouri law.

For more details see the full agenda for the meeting.

The regular meeting gets underway at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers in City Hall at 602 S. Main Street.
