Pierce City man killed while walking on highway

A man from Pierce City was killed while walking on a highway late Sunday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 29-year-old Bryan J. Perryman was walking on State Highway 37 about a mile east of Pierce City when he was hit by a pickup truck.
By law, that driver was tested for alcohol but the truck was driven from the accident.
Perryman was pronounced dead a short time later.
