One man under arrest following wounding of Missouri State Trooper

One man is under arrest for the alleged shooting of a  Missouri State Trooper Friday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says troopers arrested Justin Jackman at 7:45 a.m. this morning.

He is reportedly being questioned in connection with the case.

The trooper is hospitalized in stable condition with injuries to his face.

Investigators say a trooper was involved in a pursuit with a suspect that ended around 11 Friday night.

The suspect reportedly drove down an embankment, got out of the car, fired shots and the trooper was struck.

The trooper has not been identified.
