Joplin City Council meets tonight

The Joplin City Council meets tonight.
Members will consider a contract with the Asbell Excavating and Trucking for pre-treatment and snow removal services to supplement city crews.
They will discuss a measure that would authorize the City of Joplin to enter into an agreement with Holly Nagy for the purpose of employing her as City Clerk. Nagy would replace Barbara Hogelin who is retiring.
A number of other issues are on the agenda.
The meeting gets underway at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers at 602 S. Main Street
