Man from Carl Junction arrested Tuesday on stolen vehicle and meth charges

A man from Carl Junction was arrested on Tuesday following an investigation by the Ozarks Drug Enforcement Team.

Upon arrival to the residence of 27592 West Fir Road, a search warrant was served that resulted in the discovery of a stolen Dodge Pickup out of Cedar County, a UTV out of Kansas, a camper out of Jasper County, and several trailers.

In addition the various stolen items, a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine was discovered.

33-year-old Chet Mercer was taken into custody on charges of Receiving Stolen Property and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to distribute.
