Baxter Springs firefighter continues to recover from burn injuries

On Friday October 17, Baxter Springs Firefighter Malachi Brown was injured while battling a structure fire. Brown was first taken to a Joplin hospital before being flown to the Burn unit in Springfield.
His family says that he has severe 3rd degree burns over 27% of his body. They say he is still sedated and on a ventilator.
