Plans announced for former Dogpatch USA theme park

Bass Pro Founder Johnny Morris has announced plans for the former Dogpatch USA theme park.

Morris who says he wants to keep the natural beauty of the area purchased it last year.

Morris says he plans to transform the former theme park into Marble Falls Nature Park.

The new park will host nature trails and plans are in the works to build a restaurant and trout hatchery.

No opening date has been announced yet.

Dogpatch USA theme park operated from 1968 to 1993.
