Vietnam veterans gather near Carthage Memorial

Vietnam era veterans gathered Friday near the Vietnam Memorial in Carthage’s Central Park.
The event primarily was designed to bring together veterans from the ASA, the Army Security Agency . It was an elite group coordinated by the National Security Agency.
The function was coordinated by Tony Scaduto of the the “Commemorate Partnership of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War.
Scadudo says getting together again is therapeutic.
“Its a big deal to come together and see people both people you served with and people who may have been in the same duty station before or after you,”he comments.
He said the ASA only had 6,000 boots on the ground during the Vietnam War.
All veterans were welcome at the event.
