Stabbing at Springfield Mercy Surgery Center

Police were called to the Mercy Springfield Surgery Center just after 7 AM this morning to a report of a female being stabbed in a stairwell.   

According to Springfield police, the surgery center was placed on a lockdown.    

It is reported that police are looking for a male suspect that was in a relationship with the victim.   

Mercy Hospital Springfield was also placed in a lockdown that has since been lifted.
