Missouri Governor Mike Parson plays large role in Missouri State Fair Celebration

Missouri Governor Mike Parson played a large role in the recent celebration of agriculture at the 2021 Missouri State Fair.

330,125 people were welcomed to the event by Parson, following last year's youth livestock-stock only fair in 2020.

“Agriculture is Missouri’s top economic driver, and the Missouri State Fair is an important time to celebrate the efforts of our farmers and ranchers as well as the young people who work hard on their projects year round,” Governor Parson said in a news release Thursday.

Goverson Parson also participated in Opening Day ceremonies and delivering the keynote address to both veterans and active-duty military on Military Appreciation Day.

He also attended some cattle shows and visited with many young livestock exhibitors.

The Governor and First Lady were also involved in other events as well.

The 2022 Missouri State Fair is scheduled for August 22-21 in Sedalia.
