Dallas County Kidnapping suspect loses home to fire

Fifty Eight year old kidnapping suspect James Phelps of rural Dallas County Missouri is now homeless after fire destroyed his home last night.   

According to the Dallas County Sheriff’s office, the home near Lebanon is a total loss.   

Phelps is accused of kidnapping Cassidy Rainwater after photos from an anonymous person showed Rainwater in a cage that appear to have come from Phelps phone.  

Fifty Six year old Timothy Norton of Lebanon is also charged in the case.
