Governor Laura Kelly announces flags to be flown at half-staff to honor Covid-19 victims

Kansas Governor Laura Kelly announced today that flags will be lowered to half-staff throughout the state effective immediately to sundown Wednesday.

6,000 individuals have lost their lives in Kansas due to the virus, according to a news release from Governor Laura Kelly's office.

Governor Laura Kelly said in a statement that the state is equipped with the tools to stop the virus and prevent more unnecessary deaths of our loved ones and neighbors.

The Governor encourages all Kansas residents to get the Covid-19 vaccine, wear masks, and follow health practices.
