Fort Scott woman identified as victim of suspected homicide

(AP) — Authorities in Sedgwick County are investigating after a woman was found dead in the roadway. The body of the woman was found by a resident just after 7 a.m. Thursday. Emergency crews responded and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities on Friday identified the victim as 26-year-old Karlie Bidwell of Fort Scott. The cause of death remains under investigation.
