KDOT and other groups highlight importance of truck drivers

The Kansas Department of Transportation, American Trucking Associations, and the Teamsters Union and the trucking industry are highlighting the importance of professional truck drivers during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, September 12-18.

Over 3.6 million professional truck drivers nationwide deliver goods and products to a variety of communities, according to a KDOT news release.

The release goes on to say seventy percent of America's freight is delivered by truck.
