OSBI offering $10,000 for assistance in solving 1974 murder

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) is offering a $10,000 reward for information that can assist agents in solving the 1974 murder of Tina Mae Duffell.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI assistance after the 37-year-old Duffell was found on October 18, 1974.

She was submerged by timber and brush in Prairie Dog Pond a half mile northwest of Quapaw, Okla.

Investigators believe Duffell was either abducted or left with someone from the C and D grocery store in Quapaw where she was working at the time of her murder. The autopsy revealed she had stab wounds to her neck.

Those knowing anything about Tina Mae Duffell’s murder are asked contact the OSBI at (800) 522-8017 or tips@osbi.ok.gov.
