Updated information about U turn accident last Friday

In updated information, The U-turn accident happened just before noon on Friday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 26-year-old Zachary R. Scofield of Joplin was trying to make a U- turn on Missouri 59 a mile south of Fidelity  when his car was hit by a pickup driven by 35-year-old Christopher A. Jennings of Carthage.

Scofield suffered serious injuries. He was transported to Freeman-West in Joplin.

An occupant in Scofield’s vehicle, 36-year-old Christopher L. Britt of Webb City, had moderate injuries.

Only minor injuries ..... for Jennings and his passenger, 20 year old Dakota M. Gollhoffer of Carthage. Britt, Jennings and Golhoffer were treated at Mercy-Carthage.
