Woman injured in Pittsburg crash

PITTSBURG, Kan. - A two-vehicle injury accident at E. 19th and Grand Avenue in Pittsburg a little after 4 Saturday afternoon resulted in injuries to one motorist.

The Pittsburg Police Department says a vehicle driven by 77-year-old Dorothy Jacks failed to yield the right away and attempted to turn in front of a vehicle driven by 65-year-old John L. Smith.

Smith's vehicle hit Jacks' vehicle on the passenger side.

Jacks was transported to Via Christi Hospital by family members. She later was transported to a different hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Smith refused transport after being evaluated by fire and EMS personnel at the scene.
