Suspect being sought after armed robbery at Joplin bank
Joplin Police are searching for a suspect after an alleged armed robbery at a local bank. Read the full press release below:
On July 19th, 2021 at 12:58 pm, the Joplin Police Department Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call of an armed robbery at Great Southern Bank at 1232 S. Rangeline Road in Joplin.
It was reported the suspect entered the bank and demanded money while displaying a weapon. The suspect then fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. No employees were physically harmed during the incident. Currently there are Detectives with the Joplin Police Department on scene conducting an investigation in conjunction with agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The suspect is being described as a white male, approximately 5’ 5”, wearing a black facemask, blue and white KC hat, dark-colored shirt, and blue jeans. The suspect fled the scene in a white 4 door passenger car. Surveillance video images of the suspect and the suspect vehicle are attached.

Additionally, Great Southern Bank is offering a reward of $3,500 for information relating to the identity, arrest and conviction of the suspect in this case.
