Man from Monett killed in mower accident

A lawn mower accident has taken the life of a man from Monett.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 72-year-old Raymond Haddock was  in Jolly Mill Park south of Pierce City around 5:45 Thursday evening when the accident occurred..

The Highway Patrol report says Haddock was operating a riding mower that went out of control and overturned in a a creek.

Haddock was pronounced dead by Newton County Coroner Jerry Deems.
