Neosho's Lime Kiln Park closed until further notice after drownings

Lime Kiln Park is closed until further notice.

The Neosho Police Department making that announcement Friday, stating that there will be no trespassing in the park and violators are subject to prosecution.

This decision comes after 12-year-old Kaylin Brown was swept away by the swift current that's created at the base of the dam last Wednesday.

34-year-old Trevor Hicks, who jumped into the water to save Brown, was also caught in the current and succumbed to his injuries days after the incident.
