Tax proposals on the ballot for Joplin residents
Several different tax proposals will be on upcoming ballots for Joplin residents.
The first will be to renew the city’s quarter-cent sales tax that funds parks and stormwater projects. That will be on the August ballot.
On the November ballot, there will be a question for residents to approve a use tax, which would cost three and one-eighth cents.
On the April ballot, there will be a property tax measure that looks to renovate Memorial Hall and a bond measure that looks to pay for the renovation of the former Joplin library for Project Launchpad.
